Jackson Boomer is a 2017 1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Ogden, UT who attends Judge Memorial Catholic HS. Big and strong athletic build, has lots of physical projection, stands out physically for a 2017. Right handed hitter, tight hands, short swing for his size and can get too short at times sacrificing shortness for extension and ability to drive the ball, creates very good bat speed regardless, ball is loud coming off the barrel, lots of offensive projection with adjustments and continued repetitions. Good one spot athleticism, has soft hands and some one step quickness both at third base and at first base, accurate arm when feet set, can transition to third base with improved quickness if he doesn't get too big. Nice young talent who should keep improving, bat could really stand out. Very good student.
