Chandler Boyd is a 2017 SS/UT, RHP with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Mexia, TX who attends Groesbeck HS. Tall frame, slender build, room to fill out as he continues to mature physically. From the infield, aggressive actions to the baseball, solid hands, quick transfer. Solid arm strength on accurate throws across the diamond. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an upright, narrow stance. Short compact swing with solid bat speed, stays inside the baseball. Good barrel control with some natural lift at the point of contact. Even more hard barrels to come with more consistent incorporation of lower half. Moves well in the field and on the bases. On the mound, has short compact arm action. has late arm site bite to fastball. 11/5 curveball shape. Works down in the zone. Outstanding student.
