Brogan Sontag is a 2017 RHP/SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Berthoud, CO who attends Berthoud HS. Smaller young athletic build. Straight over the top delivery and arm slot, some upper body tilt on release, repeats his mechanics well. Low 70's fastball, topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action. Throws both a short slider and true downer curveball with 12/6 shape to it. Throws strikes with all pitches and fills up the zone. Right handed hitter, simple short swing approach, makes consistent soft line drive contact. Looked solid working through the ball and throwing in the outfield, also played the infield in drills.
