Jarrett Carden is a 2016 MIF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Calhoun, GA who attends Calhoun HS. Young lean build with room to fill out as he puts on additional strength. 6.65 runner that showed good range up the middle. From the infield, had solid arm strength getting up to 77 MPH with accurate throws. Good hands and footwork for position. Developing instincts. Sits back on ground balls, could improve working through the ball. At the plate, right handed hitter that starts with a slightly crouched stance and a rocking hand load. Has a quiet lower half and solid bat speed. Stays inside the ball on a line drive swing path. Can get inconsistent with his bat path, but other mechanics are repeated well. Good student.
