Jackson Saylor is a 2017 RHP with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Brandeis HS. Big and solid athletic build, broad shoulders and very good present strength. Deliberate delivery, works from the stretch, lands open with his front side and is not consistent in his lower body and core rotation, high 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and loose coming through. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, maintained velocity very well and was still 85-86 in the fourth inning, fastball is straight with occasional arm side, run, can power downhill more consistently with this pitch. Slider has shorter off the barrel cutter action, will throw through the break at times. Firm changeup has good arm speed. Key in development is developing better front side/lower half consistency to improve horizontal command, has plenty of arm strength and athleticism. Good student.
