Krieger is a tall 6-4 right hander with a strong body and smooth pitching mechanics. He threw mid 80s in Fort Myers but we've seen him around 90 before. Throwing a little less across his body and getting a little more extension to the plate might help Krieger get some more movement on his fastball. Krieger’s curveball was 62-67 mph and was very sharp at times, although he could use some more velocity on this pitch. The Kreiger we saw in Ft Myers is not the real Kreiger. Adam is a good student who belongs at a top college program.

Krieger is a nice, strong athlete who appears even bigger than his 6-4, 215 lb listing. He coud get very, very strong down the road. Krieger is a bit of a back archer and throws from a high ¾’s to overhand release point. When he gets behind his fastball, he gets good heavy sink anywhere from 83 to 89 mph. Krieger’s arm works well and we can see his fastball settling into the solid average range in the near future, especially if he gets as strong as it looks like he might. One thing we’d like to see is for Krieger to boost the velocity on his curveball, which is a big, soft sweeper at 66-68 mph. Given his release point, it might be easier for him to learn a slider as a breaking pitch. Krieger’s 76 mph change up had some quality to it. Adding a power slider to his repertoire could be valuable. At any rate, his arm works very nice and the sky is the limit. MLB scouts will pay close attention and power college programs are going to be very interested. Adam is a good student.
