2005 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Jason Farley is a 6'2" 170 pound 2007 left handed pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder from Vienno, Virginia who attends James Madison High School. He has a good projectable frame with plenty of rooom to fill out in the future. Jason has a herky jerky type delivery that is very deceptive and throws hitters off balance. His fastball topped out at 78 mph, his curveball at 61 mph, and his changeup at 68 mph. He threw all three pitches with command and a good feel as well. In the field, Farley has good actions and good arm strength which he showed by throwing 70 mph across the infield from first base. At the plate, he has some nice hitting skills. He uses no trigger and has above average hand strength. He had some very nice base hits during the game.
