Nick Povinelli is a 2016 2B/OF/SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy-Fair HS. Medium, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with additional strength. Ra n a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, longer release, moves well on feet, short arm action through the back, lower three-quarter arm action on accurate throws across, moves well charging in. Similar arm strength from the outfield, short arm action and generates extension out front, occasionally gets under throws, accurate to the bag, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow. Full swing, shows a feel for the barrel and gets it to the ball, upper body swing with line drive swing plane. Shows present bat speed through the zone, uses whole field and creates barreled contact to the opposite field. Moves well on the bases. Very good student.
