Glieden is a 5-11, 160 lb left handed hitting middle infielder from Chaska, Minnesota and only a sophomore. He's a very good runner and his 7.16 60 time is more like a 6.90 on a regular running surface (the outfield grass was very thick at this ballpark). Glieden also played some centerfield but showed better actions and potential defensively as an infielder. He has good balance approaching ground balls and smooth overall actions. His 77 mph arm strength should keep improving as he gets older and stronger. At the plate, Glieden has a long, sweeping swing but shows some hand strength and raw bat speed. He did a very good job of centering the ball in games and showed some gap to gap power potential. Glieden will have to work on shortening his swing when the pitching speeds up but he has the physical talent to keep improving as a hitter. He's a good overall prospect who the college coaches in the Midwest should keep a close eye on over the next few years.
