Neil Martino is a 2008 2B/OF from Rockledge HS in Viera, FL, with a 5'11'', 150 lb. frame. He has a tall, slender build with a low waist and narrow upper body. Martino ran the 60 in 7.76 and showed good range in the field and ran the bases with some quickness in the games. He threw 66 mph during infield drills with a long throwing action that is better suited presently for the outfield. Martino hits from a tall, narrow stance with his weight shifted forward and low hands in his set up. He keeps his swing short. More strength will help with his raw bat speed. Martino is a very good student.
