Zachary Modica is a 2016 2B/OF, SS with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Framingham, MA who attends Framingham. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well on feet and gets behind the ball, fields with a wide base and close to body, short arm action with good transfer, around the bag with throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high and set and a crouched stance in the box. Shows balance in swing and uses hands well, short path to the ball and keeps hands in on swing, contact approach, bat speed projects with added strength. Good student.
