Thor Meeks is a 2008 C/1B with a 6'1", 205 lb frame from Hurrican, WV who attends Hurricane HS. Named to Top Prospect Team. Thor has a strong thick build and showed a very good set of raw tools for a catcher. He has a very aggressive approach at the plate with good present strength. When everything is going right he shows very good gap to gap pop with plus raw power potential. He is a bit of an all or nothing type of hitter at this point and will want to tone down his approach a little bit. Behind the plate Thor has quick clean actions to go with a solid arm strength. He has online accurate throws and does a good job of receiving the ball. Thor is a strong student with a lot of tools to work with. He should be a highest level college prospect.
