2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase
Jason Hebner is a 2017 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Newtown, CT who attends Newtown. Large frame with slender present build, highly projectable body and frame. Posted a 7.27 seconds 60 yard dash time. Primary pitcher, showed very fluid and clean arm action up to 3/4 slot, quick arm and generates good extension out front, good tempo throughout delivery, creates angle from extended 3/4 slot, fastball worked 78-80 and topped at 81 with some life to arm side. Showed good CB with 12/6 shape and quality depth and spin, did a good job throwing CB for strikes. Hits with upright stance and high hand set, toe tap trigger, momentum hitter with good shift into contact, pull-field approach with solid contact skills and projectable gap power. Worked out defensively at 1B, shows quick and clean hand actions and fields cleanly, solid footwork around the bag, accurate throws to 2B and 3B with velocity topping at 77. Named to 2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
