Cameron Gaskill is a 2017 RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from West Hills, CA who attends El Camino Real HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out. Primary right-handed pitcher, leg lift up to belt with big hip turn at top, works to a three-quarter arm slot and gets extended out front creating some angle at release. Whippy and full arm action through the back, ran fastball up to 76 mph with consistent and late cutting life. Fills up the strike zone and lives in the lower quadrants of the strike zone, stays off barrels with the life. Breaking ball shows curveball shape with short depth at 68 mph, occasionally gets around and creates slider look. Rounds out three-pitch mix with changeup at 71 mph, firm offering with late fade to arm side and dive down in zone. Good student.
