Glen Johnson is a 2007 SS/3B/2B with a 5'11'', 178 lb. frame from Hobe Sound, FL, who attends South Fork HS. Johnson has a lively body with athleticism and strength. He ran a 6.83 sixty and showed very good quickness on the bases and in the field. Defensively he has soft hands with nice footwork in the middle of the diamond. He gets himself in position to make the plays, and has a quick release. Johnson also has solid range with body control. At the plate Johnson is a switch hitter with a compact and short swing from both sides. Has hand quickness and bat speed through the zone. Johnson makes consistent line drive contact and hits to all fields. Has the blood lines, makeup and tools. Could be special as he grows older and stronger.

Glen Johnson is a 2007 SS/3B with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Hobe Sound FL, who attends South Fork HS. He has a live athletic body with some present strength. Johnson is a polished defensive player who we've seen play all over the infield. He has soft, sure hands on ground balls and very good arm strength. Johnson has a tendency to let up and aim his throws on routine plays occasionally, which we've noticed all summer, and is best when he's throwing on the run and letting the ball fly. Offensively, Johnson is a switch hitter with much better bat speed from the left side. He hits from a balanced, calm approach from both sides but has much quicker hands and a better swing left handed. He is a prospect level hitter without question left handed; we haven't seen the same type of ability from the right side. Johnson is best when seen in game conditions, he's not a showcase player as much as a ball player. He is also an excellent student.

Glen Johnson is a 2007 switch-hitting middle infielder from South Fork HS, residing in Hobe Sound, FL. He has a strong, compact lower body, and overall has an average athletic type build on his 5'11" 170 lb. frame. Johnson opened a lot of eyes and ranked #48 among PG National Top 100 position players. He played with a high motor and looks like the type of player that positively impacts a game in one way or another each game, offense, defense, hustle, whatever it takes. From the right side he hits from a square stance and showed a quiet approach to hitting. He has a bit of a wrap load but came out of it ok. Johnson is a plus contact-type hitter and showed the ability to spray and seemingly serve the ball to all fields. He has plus bat speed and keeps the head in the zone for a long time. He is likely to stay a consistent hitter for average with feel for hitting the ball the other way. From the left side he showed decent power and has hands that work quite well. Johnson's LH swing is a little longer, with barrel leading more than from the right side. He does make good barrel contact and is more pull conscience from that side. On defense Johnson showed above average hands and strong arm across the diamond. He was very good on the turn around the bag, making easy flick throws. He plays pretty easy on defense and showed very strong feel for that half of the game. Johnson is the son of former MLB All-Star Howard Johnson. Not a great runner but has speed that should move toward average game speed if he can add some explosiveness to his lower body. He ran 4.52 home/1st and posted a laser timed 7.14 60. He is a college ballplayer and brings many winning attributes.
