Gable Reece is a 2016 SS/IF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Osceola, IA who attends Clarke Community. Medium frame with developing strength. Right handed hitter with a closed stance at stride and rotational swing mechancis. Mid-field to pull side approach with some present strength and pop to pull side. Swing has natural loft and tends to hit the ball in the air. Moves into contact well with lower half on pitches middle in with quiet, balanced actions. Tends to lose lower half actions and strength on pitches outter half. Worked out defensively from the infield. Plays back from a deep position while sitting back on baseball. Deliberate footwork through the baseball into transition. Long glove to hand seperation into throws with accuracy, topped at 72 mph across. Two hand funnels with stiff actions on groundballs out front. Tools should continue to develop with physical maturity. Good student as well.
