Tim Maxwell is a 5'8" 165 pound 2007 outfielder from West Boca Raton High School in Lake Worth, Florida. He has a smaller frame that shows good strength. Tim has very polished actions in the outfield. His arm is strong and his throws were online with good carry. He has a good release that allowed him to throw 81 mph during the workout. At the plate, Maxwell uses a open to closed approach. He has good strength in his swing and he does have some lift which creates power. He has good bat speed and a short swing enabling him to weight back and drive the ball to both gaps. He gets the barrell of the bat centered on the ball and really stays inside the ball well. Maxwell has a balanced swing that creates a lot of line drives. He is also a very smart aggressive base runner who got an excellent jump on a stolen base during one of the games. Tim is also a good student with a 3.0 gpa.
