Blake Monar is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF from South Spencer HS, residing in Rockport, Indiana, with a tall 6'2"/185 pound frame. Blake pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a quick arm. He works quick on the mound. He works his fastball to both sides well at 85 mph. Monar keeps hitters off balance with a sharp curveball at 73 mph and a 64 mph changeup with very good life. Blake has a loose arm at first base with soft hands and athletic actions. He has a quick bat from the left side and is an aggressive hitter. Monar has good power and good power potential at the plate. Blake is a good student.
