Nathan Lu is a 2017 C/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from San Ramon, CA who attends Dougherty Valley. Lu has a smaller frame with a lean build. Defensively he has a narrower higher set and gains some ground on his pop throws. Lu has nice transfers and made online accurate throws. He has developing arm strength up to 70 MPH. At the plate Lu has a short stride to start his swing and collapses his backside. He has developing bat speed and developing hitting tools. Lu pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a shorter am action. He is a max effort pitcher with a big head jerk through release. Very good student.
