Dominic Sabia is a 2017 1B/OF with a 6-1 218 lb. frame from Torrington, CT who attends Torrington HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a mature build with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, short steps moving off the bag to the ball, hands play well at the ball out front, longer transfer moving into smooth arm action, arm strength will continue to develop, shows accuracy across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and gets closed moving in. Loads hands back at start of swing, full swing coming through the zone, has strength in forearms and shows strength off the barrel with occasional jump to either gap. Confident approach at the plate and able to jump on his pitch. Very good student.
