John Arndorfer is a 2017 OF with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Lake Oswego, OR who attends Jesuit HS. Tall frame with a lean build and wiry strength. Left handed hitter with a straight stance. Shows an aggresive linear lower half to contact with a line drive swing plane. Balanced throughout swing and tends to throw bat head with a mid-field, pull side approach. Keeps hands back in a good launching position allowing for contact to all fields, did a nice job shooting a two stike curveball to left field. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing athletic actions and smooth glove skills. Has plus arm strength from a long 3/4 to overtop slot that generates solid arm whip while with on line carry and accuracy, topped at 85 mph from the outfield. Ball tends to have some tail when throwing from the 3/4 slot. Shows best back spin, carry and arm strength when staying on top of throws. Body projects for added build. Tool set with continue to develop with physical development. Very good student as well.
