Joey Ramirez is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends John Marshall. Ramirez has a medium sized frame with a solid build. Defensively he was light on his feet and showed good range on the infield. He showed solid actions with good hands. Ramirez showed arm strength up to 73 MPH with clean transfers and release. His tools project best at 2B. At the plate, Ramirez starts with a balanced stance and gets his lower half through well. He has a rotational swing with a pull side approach with some bat speed. Ramirez has some length to his swing and showed occasional pop. Good student.
