Matthew Simone is a 2008 C/OF from St John the Baptist HS, residing in West Islin, New York, with a 5'8"/175 pound frame. Matthew has a solid frame. He hits from a slightly open stance and closes well. Simone has a knee lift trigger with a line drive swing plane. He has lift at times and uses the whole field. Matthew has an inside out swing and needs to work on increasing his power. He has a quick transfer behind the plate with an accurate arm. Simone has a consistent 2.15 pop time and slid receiving skills. Matthew is a good student.
