Zach Epstein is a 2008 RHP from Hewlett HS, residing in Woodmere, New York, with a 6'1"/180 pound frame. Zach has a solid frame. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with long and loose arm action. He has solid mechanics and minimal effort in his delivery. Epstein has a solid fastball at 86 mph and a changeup with sink and fade at 74 mph. He mixes in a 66 mph curveball and a 75 mph slider. Zach has solid command on the mound and throws consistent strikes. At the plate, he hits from a slightly open stance with a line drive swing plane. He has solid power and uses the whole field to hit. Epsteins does have a slight uppercut and needs to stay tall on his backside. He has long arm action from the outfield with an accurate arm at 87 mph and solid carry. Zach is an excellent student.
