Adam Morgan is a 2008 LHP/1B from Kell High School in Marietta, GA, with a 6'1'', 170 lb. frame. Was named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Morgan has a lean and athletic looking body on the mound with a balanced delivery. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with mechanics similar to Billy Wagner. Morgan has good arm speed that helps produce a fastball that topped out at 83 mph with good arm side run. He has control of the strike zone with his fastball, as well as his off-speed pitches which includes a 68 mph CB and a 75 mph CH. Morgan has a feel for his changeup, and his curveball has a late, sharp break. He is a young lefty with great upside on the mound. Defensively, he has good hands and footwork around the first base bag. At the plate he has a short and compact swing, and stays balanced throughout. Morgan has good bat speed and can drive the ball to the gaps. Morgan is a two-way prospect that is a must follow.
