Justin Hess is a 2009 RHP/1B/OF with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Panama City Beach, FL who attends Mosley HS. Tall, well built athlete with projection. Quick high energy delivery, high release point, throws downhill, FB straight at 87-89 mph, mid 70's curveball can be nasty at times, hard downer bite. Can make adjustments for better command. Good athlete with aggressive bat and some pop. Very good student. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.

Justin Hess is a 2009 RHP/OF/1B from Arnold HS, residing in Panama City Beach, Florida, with a tall and athletic 6'2"/175 pound frame. Justin has solid mechanics on the mound and a very live arm. He has good arm speed and throws a heavy ball. His fastball has late sink and run at 84 mph and he has a sharp curveball at 71 mph. Hess moves the ball in and out well. He has a strong and loose arm across the infield at 83 mph. Justin has solid footwork and range and athletic actions defensively. Hess is a good right handed hitter and the ball jumps off his bat. He has solid bat speed and solid power at the plate. Justin is an excellent student.

Justin Hess is a 2009 OF/P/1B from Arnold HS in Panama City, Florida, with a tall and lanky 6'2"/171 pound frame. Justin has a short and compact swing at the plate and keeps his weight back very well. He has a quick bat with good pull side power and is a projectable hitter. Hess showed good arm strength from the outfield at 81 mph with solid carry and soft hands. On the mound, Justin attack hitters. He uses an 81 mph fastball with good sing and a plus curveball with late action at 72 mph. Hess is a solid 2009 prospect.

Justin Hess is a 6'2" 165 pound 2009 outfielder, right handed pitcher, and first baseman from Arnold High School in Panama City Beach, Florida who was named to the Top Prospect Team. He has a tall lean build that is very slender and athletic. Justin has very good arm strength which he showed by throwing 80 mph from the outfield during the workout. He had a very clean release on his throws and he had good backspin on his throws which gave him very good carry. He also has exceptional balance when fielding the ball. At the plate, Hess starts with a wide stance and has a quiet set up. He has a good swing plane and is developing some nice bat speed. He is a pull hitter who has great balance at the plate. He also has a good eye for the strike zone and doesn’t chase many bad pitches. Justin throws from a high 3/4 arm slot on the mound. He has a long loose arm that is very quick. His arm works well with his low effort delivery that gets him throwing downhill very well. Hess throws his fastball at 81 mph with good arm side run. He likes to bore his fastball in on the hands of right handed hitters. His curveball is very tight with 12/6 rotation at 69 mph while his change up is at 74 mph and is still developing. He holds runners very well and has a good idea on how to pitch. Justin is also an excellent student with a 3.8 gpa.
