Bryan Bennett is a big strong catcher from Altamonte Springs, FL. He shows athleticism in his movements and ran a good 7.12 60 yd. He has average arm strength and quick feet. His pop times were right around 2 flat. His best tool is the bat and he projects to hit with power. He is an aggressive hitter with a swing that gets a bit long at times. He plays hard and should play at a high level college. Bryan is a very good student.

Bryan Bennett -- Bennett is a junior catcher from Florida with a pro style body and a very nice set of tools. Although he’s listed as a switch-hitter, he only hit from the right side, using an open stance, very good controlled load and excellent use of his lower body to generate leverage. Bennett generates very good bat speed and has some serious power potential down the road. He’s very aggressive in the batter’s box and is susceptible to off speed pitches right now, but he’s not going to get cheated either. Defensively, Bennett has good lower body life for a big catcher and quick, compact actions. He stays low on balls in the dirt and on throws. Bennett’s pop times were solid in workouts and in games and his arm strength was a little below MLB average. We also really like Bennett’s attitude on and off the field and the way he plays the game. Runs very well, can catch, can hit, can hit with power. He’s an excellent student too.

Good body for this "05" catcher. Showed some potential with the arm. Looks like the bat is his best tool. Keeps his hands inside and can attack. Only an "05" he could get real good.

Young "05" catcher with strong arm and lots of ability. We like his bat the best right now, but the rest of his game is years ahead of his age.
