Jonathan Meyer is a 2009 RHP with a 6'2'', 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Meyer has a lean athletic build and used a 3/4 arm angle to pitch in the mid 80's up to 86 at the Metrodome. His fastball has exceptional life and he compliments it with an excellent slider with sharp bite. He stays tall in his delivery and has solid mechanics. He projects well on the mound as he continues to progress and add strength. He is also a very good student.

Jonathan Meyer is a 2009 RHP/OF/1B with a 6'2'', 165 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Meyer has a medium sized frame with an athletic build. He has a lean build and his body projects well. Meyer pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He has good arm speed and pitches with fairly low effort. Meyer uses a high leg kick and gets his hips closed at balance point. He throws across his body some and has an upright finish. Meyer works down in the zone and hits the corners well. He has sink and armside run on his fastball. Meyer also throws a curveball on a 10/4 plane that is a solid pitch. At the plate, Meyer looks to keep his hands inside the ball and hits to the opposite field well. Defensively, he has good actions at first base and he has raw arm strength. His throws have carry and his feet work well around the bag. He is a very good student.

Jonathan Meyer is a 2009 RHP/OF/1B with a 6'1'', 160 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic HS. He pitched very well and was selected as a Top Prospect at this event. Meyer is lean and athletically built, with a lively body and an athletic delivery. His has a long arm action and works from a 3/4 slot, with good arm speed that suggests continual velocity development. Meyer showed pitchability and the ability to put away hitters with his slider. His 82-84 mph fastball has nice sink action and as he develops more velocity he has a chance to be one of the better sinker/slider pitchers in California. Meyer's slider is a present day out pitch. He throws it in the mid-70s, getting late action and generally made RH hitters look very bad. Meyer also showed a usable changeup. His feel of the ball is quite good, as is his mound presence. Though he will end up on the mound in college, it is worth noting that Meyer swung the bat well, showing his athleticism.

Jonathan Meyer is a 2009 RHP/OF/1B with a 6'1'', 150 lb. frame from San Diego, CA, who attends Cathedral Catholic HS. Meyer is a young player with a slender frame with wiry strength and projection. On the mound he throws from an over the top arm slot with solid arm action and arm quickness. He has good tempo in his delivery with good balance over the rubber. His fastball topped out at 78 mph and works the corners with the pitch. He also mixed in a 67 mph breaking ball and a 61 mph changeup. Meyer is aggressive with all three pitches, and he has upside on the mound. At the plate he is a right handed hitter with solid bat speed. He gets a deep load with his hands and shows the ability to inside out the ball to the opposite field. Defensively he has good hands at first base, and moves well around the bag. Meyer is a young player that needs to be followed and he is a good student as well.
