Andrew Lacovara is a 2008 OF/P with a 5'11'', 155 lb. frame from Bensalem PA, who attends Archbishop Ryan. Andrew has an athletic body with a wirey build. Andrew has arm strength with some carry on his throws. He moves around very well in the outfield (6.98) and has good defensive actions. At the plate, Andrew starts his swing with a leg lift trigger and has good balance through his swing. He stays behind the ball well with a good line drive swing path. Andrew has bat speed and has quick hands. Andrew has present gap to gap power and has good hand strength. Andrew pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot and has a short loose arm action. He pitches on a good downward plane with smooth mechanics. Andrew gets armside run on his fastball and has good sink on his change-up. Andrew pounds the strike zone and has solid tools to improve. Andrew was named to the Top Prospect Team.
