Bryan Penalo is a 2007 RHP/OF with a 6'0'', 160 lb. frame from Highland Mills NY, who attends Monroe Woodbury HS. He has a lean, young build that hasn't started to get strong yet. Penalo throws from a multi-part, high energy delivery but does a good job of repeating his arm action and release point. His arm is fast and loose and the ball comes out of his hand from a high 3/4's release point easily. Penalo's fastball topped out at 87 mph with some run on it. His 73 mph curveball had both good velocity and a sharp downer break to it and was a good pitch for him. He also mixed in a few 77 mph change ups that showed promise. Penalo showed a good idea on the mound and mixed up his pitches well and competed. His young, projectable build and arm speed give him some upside in the future to think about and we liked the way he conducted himself on the mound, too. Penalo is a very good student who has signed with St. Joseph's.

Bryan Penalo is a 2007 RHP/OF from Monroe Woodbury HS in Highland Mills, NY, with a 6'0", 150 lb. frame. Bryan has a lean athletic build that produced great workout results. At the plate Bryan shows good balance in his swing to produce a line drive swing with developing power. Bryan shows athletic actions in the box and has good life in his swing. In the outfield Bryan was outstanding with a very strong arm (88MPH), to go along with smooth OF actions. Bryan is very projectable on the mound with a quick live arm. He showed a short loose arm action with great run on his ball and a solid 10 to 4 CB. Bryan has the ability to project on in the field or on the mound as high-level prospect.

Bryan Penalo is a 2007 right handed pitcher/outfielder from Monroe Woodbury HS in Highland Mills, New York, with a lean and athletic 6'0"/150 pound frame. Bryan pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a balanced and online delivery. He has clean arm action with very good arm speed and his fastball has run at 85 mph. Penalo throws an 11-5 sharp breaking curveball at 71 mph and had 5 strikeouts in 2 game innings. Bryan has good actions in the outfield with a strong arm at 86 mph and good carry. Penalo hits from an upright stance with quick hands and good balance. He showed good bat speed and makes consistent hard contact. Bryan is an excellent student.

Has a chance to be a high level player, excellent student.
