Chadd Hartman is a 2005 outfielder from Windermere Florida with a very projectable athletic strong body at 6 ft. 1 195 pounds. He hits with high hands and little lower half involvement. He has a short, quick stroke right to the ball with not much extension. He has very impressive hand strength and generates excellent bat speed. He showed big time power and the ball explodes off the bat. He launched a couple home runs in BP that just kept carrying. He is very athletic and ran a 6.82 in the 60, and a 4.43 home to first. Defensively, he has raw fielding actions and a quick arm. He showed very good arm strength at 89 mph from the outfield with nice carry. He has quick reactions and gets a good read off the bat. He is a highest level prospect with MLB tools and high draft potential. Chad is a good student who has signed with Central Florida.

Chadd Hartman is a big strong athletic 6'1/190 LHH OF from Windemere, FL. Hartman’s very quick, simple swing masks his outstanding power potential. The ball explodes off his bat and he’s an aggressive pull type of hitter. Hartman’s speed and defensive tools are very solid, too. He runs 6.8 and throws 89 from the outfield. His bat is special, short and quick, right to the ball, and he has very strong hands. His bat, arm and speed all have pro potential. Chadd is a very good student as well. He was invited and attended the PG AFLAC Showcase in Baltimore.

Chadd Hartman -- There were a couple of Perfect Game scouts who thought Hartman was the best hitting prospect in Fort Myers. He certainly would be in consideration for that distinction if we chose one. Hartman is a left handed hitting junior outfielder from Florida with a body and style similar to elite 2004 prospect Steve Chapman, also a lefty Florida outfielder. Hartman’s set up at the plate is medium wide with high hands and small stride. He gets excellent hip rotation and generates well above average bat speed. Hartman is looking at the inside half of the plate and when he gets his hips turned and through a pitch in that area, he’s going to smash it. He had a couple of doubles and a triple in games and launched some long foul balls when he couldn’t wait long enough. He can appear a bit still on pitches on the outside half but he’s better off not swinging at those early in the count anyway. Hartman is a quality athlete, too, with very good baseball instincts. He’s a very good runner with a strong throwing arm from the outfield. Chadd is a very good student who will get the attention of the major college programs and the professional scouts. He's very talented.
