Chris Duncan is a 2007 outfielder from Alpharetta, Georgia who attends Alpharetta High School. He has a 6'2" 175 pound frame with a tall athletic build and has some room to fill out. He had a very good performance during the workout. Chris ran a 6.86 60 and threw 86 mph from the outfield. His arm is very quick and his throws were all very accurate. At the plate, he showed solid bat speed with a very short swing and an easy lift in his swing. He has very good raw hitting tools. Duncan also pitched and has a short arm circle on the mound. His fastball has good life at 78-80 mph. His curveball had tight 10-4 rotation at 65 mph and his changeup at 67 mph is pretty solid. He throws strikes with all 3 pitches and gets ahead of hitters. Chris is a nice college outfield prospect.

Nice balanced swing, stays inside the ball well, gap to gap type pop, could develop more hand strength/quickness. Chris Duncan is a 2007 OF with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Alpharetta GA, who attends Alpharetta HS. He has a lean athletic build with some wiry present strength. Duncan is a very good defensive centerfielder with the tools to play the position at the upper levels. He ran the 60 at the showcase in 6.87 and we've had him in the 6.6's before. He gets good jumps on balls and can track the ball down in the gaps. He has very good arm strength at 86 mph with most of his throws right on the bag. He might even be able to improve his arm strength with a bit better extension out front. Offensively, Duncan hits out of a calm, tall approach with low, tight hands to start his swing. He never gets his hands extended and has a short, quick pull type of swing. Duncan pulled some inside pitches hard and showed the ability to hand the bat head but his swing approach limits him offensively right now. He has the physical ability to develop further in all areas. Duncan has a hustling approach to the game which we've always appreciated and enjoys playing. He is a good student.

Duncan has good straight line 60 speed (6.75) and it transfers over to his range defensively in the outfield. He throws with a straight over the top release with a short arm action. He has carry on his throws and makes accurate throws. Duncan moves to the ball well in the outfield with solid actions. At the plate, Duncan starts with a wide base and uses a short stride. He maintains good balance through his swing and keeps his bat in the hitting zone a long time. He makes consistent line drive contact and has present gap to gap pop. Duncan has bat speed with a line drive swing path. He has a loose swing and throws the barrel to the baseball. Duncan is a definate follow. He is a good student.

Chris Duncan is a 2007 OF with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Alpharetta GA, who attends Alpharetta HS. He has a slender build with very good body life and some projectable strength. He's a quick twitch athlete who is a very good runner at 6.65 and has plus first step quickness. Duncan can really go get the ball in the outfield and has the quickness to steal bases at any time. He profiles as a true centerfielder. Offensively, Duncan has bat speed with a middle of the field, line drive swing. He stays very balanced and on the plane of the ball for a long time, which results in consistent line drive contact. He should just improve offensively as he gets stronger. Duncan should become a first level college centerfielder with pro potential down the road as he physically matures. Must Follow. Duncan is also a good student.
