Tanner Neuberger is a 2007 RHP/1B with a 6'7'', 223 lb. frame from West Des Moines, IA who attends Valley HS. Neuberger is broad shouldered with good strength and is very tall. On the mound he uses a full delivery with a hip turn, and uses an extended 3/4 release point. He gets to a good downhill angle. His fastball ranged from 83-85 mph and he pitched low in zone and mostly to outside half. He did a good job mixing his pitches and change shows quality. His slider is his best breaking ball. Tanner is also a very good student. Signed with Johnson County CC.

Tanner Neuberger is a 2007 RHP with a 6'7'', 195 lb. frame from West Des Moines IA, who attends Valley HS. He has a tall, lean, very projectable build. Neuberger is a good athlete for his size and we've seen him play the middle infield on defense and hit the ball with authority. He has a good delivery for his size, with a short arm circle in back and good extension out front. Neuberger's fastball was 80-83 mph and showed good boring action into right handed hitter's fists. He did a good job throwing strikes with a 71 mph curveball that had nice downer break and some depth. He also threw some stragith change ups at 74 mph and did a good job mixing up his pitches. Neuberger has a feel for pitching and is very projectable. Follow closely for future velocity improvement. Neuberger is also a very good student.

Tanner Neuberger is a 2007 RHP/1B with a 6'7'', 180 lb. frame from West Des Moines IA, who attends Valley HS. He has a tall and lanky body and projectable strength gains. Neuberger's pitching mechanics are a bit raw now but he shows good coordination in working through them and showing consistency and command. He tends to open his front side early and lose height and angle to the plate, although Neuberger still gets nice extension to the plate on his release. His fastball was 80-82 mph and looked like it got on hitters quickly with some running and boring action. Neuberger's breaking ball was a 70 mph curveball with what looked like a knucklecurveball grip. He tended to shorten his arm stroke on this pitch and aim it. His best off speed pitch was a 72 mph change up that had hard boring action and nice arm speed and deception. Neuberger worked the strike zone with all three pitches and had a good idea on the mound. Some polishing of his mechanics could go a long way and move his stuff up a notch. He's a good follow who has a lot more in his arm waiting to come out. Neuberger is also a very good student.
