Arthur Strauss is a 2009 RHP/OF with a 6'2'', 185 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Spain Park. Tall athletic build, 3/4 arm slot on the mound, loose easy arm action, ball comes out clean, good tempo in delivery, fairly tight 10 to 4 curveball, around the plate, good projection on the mound, shows good bat speed at the plate, gap to gap pop, good raw power potential, raw hitting tools to work with, big arm strength in the outfield, runs fairly well, solid student.

Arthur Strauss is a 2009 RHP/OF with a 6'2", 180 lb fram from Birmingham, AL who attends Spain Park HS. Named to Top Prospect Team. Arthur has a tall athletic build and showed big upside on the mound at the showcase. On the mound Arthur throws with a loose easy delivery with an arm that works very well. He has an OH arm slot with a good downhill plane and nice life on his fastball. Arther shows the making of a nice curveball and just needs to make sure he doesn't open up too much at the end of the delivery. At the plate Arthur has an athletic balanced approach and shows a nice line-drive swing plane. He can hit the ball to all parts of the field, but his swing can get a little stiff. Arthur has the tools and athletic to improve quite a bit at the plate. In the outfield Arthur showed off a very strong and accurate arm. He is a good all-around athlete and has the making of a very solid rightfielder. Arthur is a strong student that should be a highest-level college prospect in a few years.
