Charlie Martin is a 2006 outfielder/third baseman from Burke, Virginia, with a strong 5'9", 170 lb. frame. Defensively he gets good jumps in the outfield and shows good range. He gets under the ball on some of his throws and throws up hill. If he could stay behind the ball he would immediately improve his throwing velocity. He is a right handed hitter with a smooth swing. He has a rotational type swing with solid bat speed and hand strength. Martin has a line drive swing plane, and shows some raw power from gap to gap. Martin is also a very good student.
