Chase Childers- MIF- North Cobb Christian HS, Kennesaw, GA- 6'1"/185. Childers showed very good actions defensively with a strong and accurate arm at 83 mph across the IF. Childers is a line drive hitter that uses the whole field. He ran a 7.03 sixty, and has very good game quickness. His bat plays large from the left side. He has committed to Georgia State. We are going to hear much more from Chase in the future.

Chase Childers is a 2005 MIF/3B from Kennesaw, Georgia, with a 6'1", 185 lb. frame. He has very good actions with soft hands and a quick release. Childers also has enough arm strength to allow him to play any infield position. He is a left handed hitter who hits from an upright stance with a toe tap trigger. Childers has very good bat speed and made solid contact with projectable power. He showed the ability to go the other way during the games with a well hit rbi single to left field. Childers showed good instincts in the field and on the bases. His first step quickness is better than his 60 time might suggest. Childers is a good hitter who should be very productive at the next level. He is a good student who has verbally committed to Georgia State.

Chase Childers -- Childers is an athletic looking and projectable 6-1 junior infielder who hits from the left side of the plate. He took a very nice batting practice, showing a quick bat and good gap to gap power. While Childers hands and upper body are quiet and quick, he has a big leg lift trigger that we think might throw off his timing a bit in games. Childers ran 4.43 to first base and has good bounce to his step and good lateral quickness in the field. Depending on how he develops his strength and body, Childers could end up playing any of the infield positions at the next level. His arm strength is very playable from any of the three positions. Childers is a good student, too. Good defensive, good hitter, can run and throw. Keep an eye on him!
