2007 World Showcase
Brent Lozano is a 2007 C/3B/P with a 5'10'', 190 lb. frame from Miami, Florida, who attends Palmetto High School. Brent has a strong thick build and performed well in all areas at the showcase. At the plate Brent is very aggressive with good strength in his swing and nice power upside. If anything he could tone his approach down some to produce more consistent results. Behind the plate Brent is very quick with the ball with outstanding raw arm strength. He isn't always pretty with his throws but he knows how to work his approach very well and will be a very good catch and throw guy at the next level. Brent is a very good competitor on the mound with a short quick arm stroke and he makes hitters put the ball in play. He showed a nice hard breaking SL and has all the making of a quality college reliever. Brent is a strong kid that has the making of a solid two-way player at many Division I Schools.
