Spenser Smith is a 2008 3B/1B/SS with a 6'1'', 165 lb. frame from Littleton, Colorado, who attends Mullen High School. Smith has a lean and projectable frame with a trim waist. Defensively he has solid actions on the infield. He makes plays and showed solid arm strength in game action. Smith has range and makes good off-balanced throws. All of his throws are accurate. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from wide base. Smith has a quick load, and uses a simple no stride approach. He shows bat speed through the zone at times with a line drive swing plane. He is a contact hitter who stays back well showing good patience as well. He is a good student as well.
