Helms has an athletic build, hits from a slightly closed start, has very good hitting tools to use, showed plus plus bat speed in the game and consistently squared up the baseball all weekend, best contact was to pull gap but will hit for power to all fields as he develops, has quick hands and a line drive swing plane with late lift, he gets good extension through the ball, defensively, long arm action with carry, has athletic actions, has good baseball speed.
