Gawenda is a strong, well built young man. He takes a full swing from the left side of the plate with loft in his swing. Gawenda will have to develop more consistency, especially with not collapsing his back side, but he can hit the ball a long way when he makes solid contact. Gawenda has good actions at first base and runs a 7.55 60. He took a turn on the mound and threw 73-74 mph with his fastball. Chris is an excellent student.
