Spencer Wilson is a 2022 RHP/C, 3B, MIF with a 5-10 157 lb. frame from Louisville, MS who attends Winston Academy. Medium and strong frame. Ran an 8.09 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a side step up to a high leg lift, coils on back leg before driving to the plate while leading with his hip and utilizing his lower half, stays online to the plate at landing, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot. Fastball is straight and topped out at 78 mph, mixed in a developing curveball with late bite at times, flashed a knuckleball as well. Secondary catcher, narrow base behind the plate staying high in his crouch, showcased a quick transfer with with developing footwork and accuracy to the second base bag, 2.13 second best pop time. Also took reps in the infield, moves to the baseball with short steps and low effort actions, gathers the baseball in a high position, and developing hands. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an even base, utilizes a small leg lift into contact, showed some feel for the barrel in batting practice, will improve pop off of the barrel with additional weight shifted into contact.
