Defensively, Dykstra throws with a short arm action with a short release. He has some arm strength with some carry on his throws. Dykstra has solid defensive actions with sound transfers. At the plate, Dykstra starts his swing with a short quick hand load and stays balanced through finish. He keeps his hands inside the baseball and swings on a flat path. Dykstra is aggressive in the strike zone and has a good approach in the box. He generates bat speed and finds the barrell consistently. The ball sounds good off the bat and he has some pop. Dykstra has a good tool set to develop into a real solid player.
