Corbin Blakey is a 2009 MIF that attends Centennial HS and resides in Alpharetta, GA with a 5'11", 152 lb. frame. Corbin has a lean athletic build and showed a good set of hitting tools at the showcase. At the plate Corbin has good balance and leverage in his swing and produces good bat speed. He uses his hands well in his swing and you can see a lot of potential at the plate. Corbin has a tendency to collapse on his front side and will improve once he gets his weight on his back side longer. In the field Corbin has a good feel for the game and could profile at second or thrid base. He has good footwork with soft hands and his body control is very good at the time. Corbin is a solid student that should attract the attention of many mid-level college programs.
