Zachary Lowery is a 2009 1B/P/OF with a 6'3'', 215 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Kennesaw Mountain HS. Lowery has a big strong athletic build and showed solid arm strength in the workout. At the plate is where he really stands out. He is very strong and shows easy power. He has big juice in his bat and shows serious bat speed. He squares the ball up and it jumps off his bat in a hurry. He can really hit with anyone in the 2009 class and he even runs fairly well for a big power guy. He is also a good student.

Like better as power hitting OF'er, very good bat speed, power to all fields, aggressive hitter, balanced approach, good speed/agility for size, strong OF arm. Big bat on a strong athlete. Good student. He was named to the top prospect team at this event.

Zachary Lowery is a 2009 OF/P with a 6'3'', 205 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Kennesaw Mountain HS. He has a strong, mature build for his age. Lowery's defensive actions were very good; he has advanced footwork coming to the ball and clean throwing fundamentals and right field arm strength. He's a 7.18 runner. Lowery hits from a simple, balanced approach at the plate with a short swing from a slightly closed stance. He has good bat speed and keeps his swing short and quick to the ball. He had nice pitch recognition and was able to hit the ball hard to the opposite field. He also showed good instincts on the bases. Lowery is a solid all around player with tools across the board as a right fielder. He also pitched some, throwing a heavy 83 mph fastball and 67 mph curveball, but his future is in right field. He's a very good prospect. Lowery is also a good student.
