Defensively, Dial has good actions and looked good in games as well. He has a very good arm for his age (14) and has very good carry. He makes good online throws and his arm works well. He has easy actions and moves to the ball well. At the plate, Dial has a quiet approach and stays balanced through his swing. He stays back well and has a line drive swing path. Dial pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. He has a quick arm and his arm works well. Dial has smooth mechanics and pitches with high effort. He has armside run on his fastball with sink. His slider has good tilt and late sweep. He is a very advanced player for his age and is an excellent young follow.
