John Jeanes is a 2009 C/P/OF with a 6'2'', 165 lb. frame from Hatchechubbee, Alabama, who attends Russell County High School. Jeanes has a tall and lean frame with long limbs and projectability. This young catcher did a very good job blocking balls in the dirt showing agility and quickness behind the plate. He has solid arm strength for his age with accuracy. Jeanes works very hard behind the plate showing good hustle. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance and a short stride. Jeanes has an aggressive swing with solid bat speed through the hitting zone. Once he gets better use of his lower half, he will be able to drive the ball to the gaps. Jeanes is also a very good student.
