Moore is a big, strong 6-2, 235 lb. first baseman with a full gorilla cut at the plate. He generates good bat speed from the left side of the plate and we had the feeling all showcase that he was just about to get hold of one and send it out to the bullpen in right field. But Moore must have swung under and fouled back 20 pitches in three games and most every one looked like he “just missed it”. With his strength and full swing, when he gets it, we bet it stays got. There's very little doubt that Moore is going to hit and hit with power at the next level. Defensively, Moore works does a good job at first base but will have to continue to work hard. He does have a nice strong arm and could possibly end up in the outfield at the next level. Not many high school players can outswing him. That is the ticket for Cody at the next level. Cody is a good student.
