He does get long with his swing at times and makes consistent contact at the plate. Connor has a quick release behind the plate with an accurate arm. He has a good transfer with a 1.91 pop time. Gandossy has good receiving skills and is a good defensive catcher. He is a good student.

Connor Gandossy is a 2008 C with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Redding, CT who attends St Luke's HS. He has a solid athletic build with good strength potential. Grandossy threw 77 mph during drills with a best pop time of 1.90. He's a mature catcher who stays low and compact, receives the ball and knows something about the game. His arm strength is evident and his pop time and throwing accuracy would improve a bit with better balance at and after release. Offensively, Grandossy has a easy, low effort swing with good bat speed and some lift on contact. He's been coached to keep his head still with his chin up through his swing, which makes his swing look a bit awkward but it works for him. Some effort through contact might work, too. His has good hitting tools for a catcher and should be a run producer at the next level. He is also a good student.

Connor Gandossy is a 2008 C/1B with a 6'2'', 195 lb. frame from Redding, CT who attends St Lukes HS. He has a tall, well proportioned build with good strength potential. He showed solid catch and throw skills that will play at the next level and plenty of arm strength. His best pop time was 1.96. Gandossy has strong hands with the bat and has nice raw bat speed. He tended to get the bat started late against the top level pitching he saw in Cincinnati and will need to work on quickening his trigger and shortening his swing to hit at the next level. He has some lift in his swing and showed he could drive the ball in the gaps during batting practice.
