Trevor Starnes is a 2008 OF with a 5'9'', 170 lb. frame from Franklin, TN, who attends Christ Presbyterian Academy. Named to the Top Prospect Team at the event. Starnes is a quick twitch athlete with present strength in his body. Has speed in the sixty, on the bases, and in the field. He moves well in the outfield with fluid movements. His speed and instincts help him show good range to both sides and he should be able to handle CF. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits with a quiet approach. Starnes is a line drive contact hitter with solid bat head control that should allow him to hit for a high average. Has good bat speed through the hitting zone with a good swing plane. Starnes has quickness in his hands that allow him to get to the inside fastball. He takes an aggressive swing and stays balanced throughout hitting the ball to all fields. He also stays on the breaking ball very well for a young hitter. Starnes has great upside to his game, and he is a good student as well.

Trevor Starnes is a 2008 OF/P/3B with a 5'9'', 165 lb. frame from Franklin, TN, who attends Christ Presbyterian Academy. Name to the Top Prospect Team. Starnes had played in a football game the night before and traveled late the night before the event. He cramped up during the workouts on Saturday, but things loosened up and he was able to show good skills. He has a very athletic body with speed and quickness. Defensively he moves well in the outfield, and showed great range during the showcase games, including a great play on a foul ball down the right field line by the fence. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a slightly open stance. He uses a short stride and loads his hands well. Starnes has bat speed that helps produce line drives to all fields. He stays balanced through his swing, and looks to be a solid line drive contact hitter. His speed plays well, and he has upside to his overall game. He is also a very good student.
