Trey Finley is a 2008 LHP/1B with a 6'3'', 185 lb. frame from Dowelltown, TN, who attends Dekalb County High School. Finley has an extra large frame with lean and long limbs and projectability. On the mound he throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short and compact arm action. His arm works well, and he uses his lower half well in his delivery. Finley has good mound presence and has a good idea of how to pitch. His fastball topped out at 80 mph with cutting action. He also mixed in a solid 1 to 7 curveball with bite. He has good upside on the mound with projectability. At the plate he hits from an upright stance with a good swing plane. He gets leverage in his swing and shows projectable power. He hit some very hard balls in game action centering the ball well. Defensively he has nice footwork and good hands at first base. Finley is a two-way prospect with very good upside to his game. He is a must follow, and is a very good student as well.
